Safeguarding Level

I work for VIP Education on a part time basis as well as working as a Transport Safeguarding Officer in the LEA.

I am a people person and I will always go the extra mile when doing my job to deliver an excellent service. For the whole of my career all of my jobs have been helping people. I worked as an Education Welfare Officer (EWO) in the Newcastle and Moorlands District for ten years so I gained many skills in helping and supporting children and their parents/carers to reach their potential working closely with schools in North Staffordshire. I am passionate about Safeguarding children and I deliver Level 1 Safeguarding courses to a variety of adults as part of my LEA role.

I am married and have a son who plays Rugby at our local RUFC in the under 14’s. I love being involved with the club, so much so I am a volunteer Safeguarding Officer for them!

In my spare time I enjoy socialising with family and friends, watching rugby and walking my beagle Bella, We have a touring caravan and we try to go away as much as possible in the UK and France in it with great friends and family.

I am so proud to work at VIP Education; it really puts the welfare and safety of children at the forefront of everything we do. I am honoured that as an EWO for VIP, I can make a positive difference to a child’s education and situation and help them to progress and achieve to reach their potential.
