From an early age I always wanted to work with children and their families. Therefore, after leaving school I gained a BA (Hons) in Professional Studies in Childhood from The University of Birmingham.
For the past 17 years I have worked as an Education Welfare Officer across the Midlands in both local authority and school-based settings. I strongly believe in the links between school attendance and attainment. I’m passionate about helping children achieve the best outcomes in life not only academically but also socially and emotionally.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I spend most of my weekends supporting my children’s numerous hobbies! I also love to travel and have a secret enthusiasm for photography.
