The NSPCC defines it in the following way: ‘Disguised compliance’ involves a parent or carer giving the appearance of co-operating with child welfare agencies to avoid raising suspicions, to allay professional concerns and ultimately to diffuse professional intervention.
This training, delivered by an experienced trainer and safeguarding practitioner with over 25 years experience, looks at the signs to look out for and how to address concerns of disguised compliance whilst still being respectful including being aware of correct process when they suspect parents or carers of disguised compliance
