Previously to this role, I worked for Staffordshire County Council as an Education Welfare Worker. I support schools in the Uttoxeter, Cheadle, Blurton and Bucknall area to improve their overall school attendance.
In order to do so it is imperative that a good relationship is developed with Parents, Carers and Young People alike to support with any issues that are affecting their ability to attend school.
The welfare of families sits at the heart of my role. I also provide advice and guidance to schools to ensure that their procedures are in line with DFE, County and Safeguarding guidance.
Working for VIP Education has enabled me to spend more time working directly with families and schools. I love my job and working with other experienced and knowledgeable staff at VIP Education.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my 2 children age 21 and 12 years, family and friends. I also have 2 dogs that keep me very busy.
