Hi my name is Jess, I started my career in my local community volunteering in the local youth club that my daughter attended. I enjoyed it so much that when a job became available I jumped at the opportunity and made my way to Lead Youth-worker, I became very passionate about young people and their mental health, difficulties they face and guiding them through these times, so I completed my NVQ Level 2 in Children and young people’s mental health and then went on to start a degree in Psychology and counselling. I have worked at VIP since April and love putting the knowledge that I have learned in my NVQ and degree so far into practice. I have two children both with additional needs, and any spare time that I have in-between work and university courses, I love to spend with them going out on day trips travelling around Staffordshire to see what fun we can find, Sunday morning rugby and dance shows.
